The results of the Presidential election have invoked strong emotions in our students that may continue for some time. This is a teachable moment as students of all ages are asking questions that need answering. We encourage parents to seek out helpful resource to answer some of those difficult questions and ease some of their children’s concerns.
Although this election has been challenging for many of us, we can count on the Albany community to be thoughtful, caring and compassionate. Together we will model this behavior for our students. AUSD will continue to offer our support to staff, parents, students, and the Albany community as we move on from this election together.
Text messages will now be used, in addition to calls and emails, to notify families, students, staff, and community members about an emergency - during school hours, after-hours, or on the weekend (system testing 10/21/16 at 3:30 p.m.)
