Facilities Master Plan

Facilities Master Plan Committee

The Facilities Master Plan Committee (FMPC) was formed for planning purposes to help provide input into the prioritization of facility project needs.  In 2024 a Facilities Needs Assessment was completed to help identify areas that will need modernization in the near future.  In 2025, an official RFP process took place of which the District contracted with HKIT to help leverage the assessment that was already completed in addition to updating a current Facilities Master Plan to help set the longer term priorities.  The updated Facilities Master Plan is expected to be finalized in the new Fiscal Year 2027.

Facilities Master Plan

The Facilities Master Plan was developed in 2013 and adopted by the Board at the March 25, 2014 Board Meeting. A Master Plan is a living document that connects Albany Unified School District’s diverse and rich heritage with its vibrant future by defining a set of guiding principles and facility projects that will align its built environment with its strategic vision, acting as a long-term blueprint for meeting the changing facility needs of the District. The Master Plan is the keystone of District planning and possibly the most important tool available to direct and guide the use of District resources. As a living document, the Master Plan will continue to evolve to address the ever-changing needs of a dynamic district.

Facilities Assessment was completed in 2024 as an update to the Master Plan. See below.
