Change of Administration at Albany High School (click here for info)

April 20, 2017

Dear Albany Community,

I have important news to share the Albany Community. Principal Jeff Anderson will not be returning to AHS for the rest of this school year. Mr. Ron Rosenbaum, who is an experienced high school administrator and who served as the AHS principal from 2003 to 2007, has agreed to be the interim principal for the rest of the school year. I am confident that Mr. Rosenbaum will provide strong leadership for the students and staff at AHS. Mr. Rosenbaum will be very accessible and visible on campus, and he will respond to phone calls and emails in a prompt and timely manner.

Mr. Rosenbaum will start at AHS on Monday, and Assistant Superintendent, Peter Parenti, will continue to provide support until then. We will also begin the process of hiring a new principal for the 2017-18 school year. It is Mr. Rosenbaum's and my goal to ensure a safe learning environment for all of our students.

AUSD did not release Mr. Anderson from employment. He has been reassigned to another position within the district.  We are glad that he is able to continue with us and use his skills to serve AUSD students in another capacity.

Valerie Williams, Superintendent
