MacGregor High School was spotlighted at the March 22, 2016 Board of Education Meeting. Mac students expressed gratitude to the staff members who provide extra support and attention they need to persevere in school in the face of personal difficulties, and make up credits so they can graduate from high school.

new Sharia I've been in the Albany Unified School District since kindergarten I've been attending Albany school since 1st grade on the scene unit McGregor and I've been attending Albany school since I've been in my name is Angelique I've been in Albany school since kindergarten hi I'm Brown yet and I've been in Albany since elementary school hi my name is Gianna and I've been going to all these Unified School District since I was in 6th grade I am naughty list Harmony will not attend McGregor High School at Albany High and I'm Jill Miller I teach English at McGregor and I think the school is special is real like a family RAM and for me personally on McGregor focuses a lot on your individual needs as a student and so I find that it's easier for me to learn when play environments I'm a senior now Rivers help me recover lost credits the same students from Albany High get to stay with my friends  and it's nice to graduate on time I think the students at McGregor really nice and that they they're barely friendly they've helped me with a lot and get to know the students was quite an experience the principal and count my counselor they've been really through all of this end I think that it's been really great I think that children that is struggling could be greatly out by McGregor  I'm Anthony kayanan I've been McGregor Ono this Jesus are falling over I've been there since and I like the work environments at the Sesame having a better life being more the teachers  I've been in McGregor for about 2  I really appreciate MacGregor cuz  it's actually helped me a lot outside of school because I had a lot of problems with credits and getting caught up and you know they're small classes now so I get more attention than in Albany High School and I just really appreciate the fact that the staff helps us out a lot espagueti like Evan and classes like 2 years now and it's like help me out a lot cuz I've been so back I mean I just started like missing out on scores The Graduate compared to how I was last year because I just transfer districts in it's really been helpful for me I started McGregor about 2 weeks ago and it's a very it's it's I have an independent education program so it's very helpful with that and it very much helps you individually instead of Pierre the very much works on your personal needs and for me of one of the biggest struggles with homework so knowing that I can do all my opportunities in barre class and get the help and support I need is very helpful for me personally so  and allowed me to understand more of topics in class better because of their different teaching case  and environments nice same students from home time from Kenyatta George I've been in Albany School System since about the middle school around there I've been in McGregor's sayings about junior year and I know something I like about is the fact that gives you an option to fix past mistakes and just let you ratify any issues you may have and it basically gives you and anyone who's in a situation up turning The Graduate Sally Cohen and I'm mental health coordinator for McGregor High School and I have the opportunity of meeting with the most amazing students  we in the middle health program myself and our interns meet with all the your students at least once to check in with them every year and mostly we leave with them regularly and weekly either individually or in groups I want to really thank Albany for supporting this program and for helping the kids who need help the most thank you serve a lot of my students  I'm bringing Peterson and I'm the counselor at McGregor and I've been here for 16 years I think McGregor is great for students how's it gives kids a chance to pause to stop and get back on track
