Thank you for passing Bond Measures B & E!

Thank you Albany Residents!

On behalf of Albany Unified School District Board of Education, students and staff, we express our deep appreciation to the Albany community for the successful passage of the School Improvement Bond Measures B & E!  These bond measures will allow AUSD to make the necessary improvements to address seismic safety and overcrowding in Albany schools, and to ensure that our schools continue to provide safe and modern learning environments for our students.

Please be assured that we will do everything possible to guarantee that your hard earned tax dollars will be spent in the most cost effective manner possible.

The Board of Education will establish an independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee to monitor expenditures from the bonds, to ensure that bond revenues are used as specified in the bond, and to inform the public about bond expenditures.  Information about the process of forming the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee will be published soon.

We are incredibly grateful to the many volunteers who worked so hard as part of the Measure B & E Building for Excellence campaigns.  Measure B passed at 69% and Measure E at 73%.
