We begin accepting applications in February each year. We will continue to accept applications through the end of June and will communicate the status of your child's admission in July. Admissions do not roll over from year to year and must be re-submitted each school year. If you are interested in attending a school tour, they are available from September to May. Visitor passes are provided for parents who are interested in visiting the childcare programs.

Due to the high demand for quality childcare, ACC works from a waitlist pool to enroll children into the childcare programs. The waitlist is not in numerical order. It is a fluctuating document based on a number of adjustable criteria, such as grade level openings, site capacity, and gender balance. It is also based on the eligibility requirements of the California Department of Education and full-cost programs.
Enrollment for the before- & after-school care programs for TK–3rd students is determined when a parent contacts the ACC office after receiving their child’s school assignment (generally in the summer prior to the start of the school year). At that time, ACC will determine if a space is available for the student at the requested program.
Children are enrolled based on the following priority order:
- Recipients of Child Protective Services (CPS) or CPS referrals
- Qualified low-income subsidized families
- ACC children from the ACC preschool program
- AUSD staff children
- Waitlist, based on the date their application was received
- Age and level when a position is open and based on classroom capacity
