FREE breakfast and lunch for all students!

For more information, visit the AUSD Food Project.

Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students through California's Universal Meals Program. No sign-up is required. Every enrolled student may receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day, regardless of household income.

Provision 2
Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Albany USD will participate in Provision 2, an option under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Families no longer need to submit a Free/Reduced meal application every year. Meal applications are collected once every four years.

Universal Benefits Application
Families may complete a Universal Benefits Application to determine a student's eligibility for additional benefits, including SUN Bucks and discounts on internet service, child care, AP and SAT fees, and college application fees. Students receiving Medi-Cal or CalFresh are automatically eligible and do not need to apply. Applications for the 2026-27 school year will be available beginning July 1, 2026 through EZ Mealapp.

Payment Information
Elementary students do not need a MySchoolBucks account for school meals. Middle and high school students may use MySchoolBucks to purchase snacks, beverages, or a second meal. Add funds to MySchoolBucks if your student plans to make these additional purchases.
