Dear Marin Families and Community,

I'm pleased to inform you that construction is moving forward according to schedule!  We are currently in the midst of demolition and our school looks very different now.  We will see it transformed over the next year and a half and I couldn't be more psyched about the plan for the new building that will bring us up to 21st Century standards for classrooms, efficiency, and ventilation.

While demolishing some of the pods is part of this plan, I am pleased to say that Alten Construction is working hard to preserve the fabulous fifth grade tiles.  They are literally being cut out of the wall and our intention is to save them all and relocate them in the new building.  While there is always a chance that some may crack during the removal and relocation process, I have full faith that Alten will do their best to preserve each and every one.  They are fully aware of how important the 5th grade tile project is to our school and to our community.  

I'm looking forward to seeing the metamorphosis of our school over the coming months with you!
