At a ceremony last week, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond honored schools receiving the prestigious 2025 California Distinguished Schools Award, including Ocean View Elementary School.
The Distinguished School Award celebrates schools that have either made significant progress in closing the achievement gap, such as Ocean View, or that have achieved exceptional student performance.
