Budget Corner Lesson 1—How Do We Get Funded?

At the October 10, 2023 Board of Education meeting, AUSD’s Chief Business Official provided a simple, clear presentation on exactly how school districts in California are funded, using AUSD as an example. Budget Corner Lesson 2—How Do We Get Funded?

Although AUSD is one of the lowest-funded districts, well below the state average, our student performance is high. The ability of the District to maintain excellence is at risk if additional revenue is not obtained.
