Little Explorers Petting Zoo spent the morning at Albany Children's Center on Friday, May 13, 2017. A small petting zoo was set up on the grass with several goats, sheep, ducks, rabbits, chickens, an alpaca, and a pot-bellied pig. This was a fun, engaging hands-on experience for our preschool and transitional kindergarten students. The children were able to develop their oral language in a meaningful way while interacting with the animals and animal handlers. It was a joy to watch the children bonding with the animals; these interactions can spark a lifelong love of animals.
