Albany Children’s Center Receives No Place for Hate Designation by the Anti-Defamation League

On Monday, March 19th, Anna Mansker, Director of the Albany Children’s Center (ACC), received the following email (below) from Jacqueline Regev, who is the Education Director, Central Pacific Region of the Anti-Defamation League. Congratulations to the staff at the Albany Children’s Center for receiving No Place for Hate training and for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for our students!

Congratulations for earning No Place for Hate designation for the 2017-18 school year! Our Education Committee members meet regularly throughout the school year to assess our school partners’ status. Last Friday, our team met to make recommendations for 2017-18  school year and we are honored that Albany Children’s Center, along with 39 other schools across the Bay Area, will be designated No Place for Hate.

We’d like to pause for a bit of ceremony, to present this year’s banner to your community. Please let me know the best day/time for the presentation of your No Place for Hate banner. We look forward to continuing this good work with your school community and hope that you’ll join us in pursuing No Place for Hate designation again next year (registration opens May 1).
