In early April, UC Berkeley will begin to charge a fee for all guest parking in and around UC Village. The cost will be $1 per half hour, or $12 per 24 hours. All of the spots marked "Guest" in and around UC Village will be affected. The spots in front of the Community Center and Village Office will offer free 15 minute parking to allow residents to manage short-term business. The revenue generated will primarily fund increased safety and security measures at UVA. As the start date approaches, UCV will send more detailed information with a Frequently Asked Questions document.
