On Thursday May 31, 2018, AUSD's Black Parent Advisory Group sponsored a Night of Code which was open to all students and parents. Guest speaker Cole James from MV Code shared information on how they engage students to become excited about coding, and also some of the work students are doing to create their own video games. There was a hands-on demonstration by Mr. Morris and the AHS tech students. The AHS students worked with younger students as they programmed their robots and gave them some hands on practice. It was an informative meeting, and the students were very engaged in the AMS Atrium.
