AHS Boy's Basketball Team Headed to Playoffs

The Albany High School Boy's Varsity Basketball team has done a great job this season finishing the regular season with a 19-7 record, including their best-ever finish in the TCAL Rock Division, two tournament championships and a #15 Bay Area ranking by the SF Chronicle.

This Tuesday night, February 5, the team begins postseason play with a 7pm game against DeAnza. This is the first round of TCAL league playoffs. The Cougars have played DeAnza twice- and both games were settled in OVERTIME! If they can win Tuesday they will advance to the semifinals Thursday- at Salesian. Salesian is ranked #3 in the nation.

Once league playoffs wrap up the Cougars move to the North Coast Section tournament the following week. They are scheduled to host a first round game Tuesday February 12. The NCS bracket will be released on Sunday the 10th and can be found onhttp://www.cifncs.org. (See Division III boys basketball).

Come on out and enjoy some great playoff basketball in Albany!
