About ninety (90) sixth and seventh grade AMS band students went to Cazadero Performing Arts Camp last weekend (April 27 - 29) for a working musical weekend. Twenty Albany High school musicians also attended to run sectional rehearsals and be a part of the fun. Parent chaperones, campers, and high schoolers ran skits, practiced music, and appreciated the beauty of nature. Between rehearsals and sprinkles of rain, everyone enjoyed the towering redwood forest and the broad stream that runs through camp. Parents arrived on Sunday after lunch to hear a fantastic concert in the outdoor amphitheater and take their kids home. AMS Band Director Richard Chisholm was acknowledged by all for his tremendous effort in putting on this ambitious and successful program.
