If you want to know what one of our elementary librarians does in the course of a day, meet Cornell librarian, Mare Staton. Ms. Staton created a new newsletter for Cornell teachers. The weekly newsletter describes the various books in the library. Each book is described in a short paragraph with pictures which provides teachers information that can be shared with students. At the beginning of the school year, Ms. Staton was working with the elementary librarians at Marin and Ocean View to create a lending library so they could all share books with each other. All three are committed to ensuring that our school libraries are full of culturally rich reading for our students.
