Albany Middle School Teacher, Chris Rigney, and some of his students, are having fun coding and working with their robots using Scratch computer language (from MIT). In this set of pictures, the robots were programmed to change colors, follow movement instructions and draw different patterns. Students used programming structures including loops and if (conditional) statements for the different commands. More importantly, they were having fun while being engaged in learning about computer science and technology-based skills that will serve them in many different job fields!
