The Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) is an AUSD Board-Appointed committee whose purpose is to identify potential expenditure reductions to meet the School Board’s goal to balance the budget and evaluate consequences (pros and cons) associated with each.
The BAC has met four times where they reviewed the district's unaudited actuals for 2017-18 and the adopted budget for 2018-19, discussed implications of potential budget reductions, and provided insight and input from members representating parents, teachers, classified staff, and administration. The next BAC meeting will be on Friday, November 2nd in the AMS Library. The BAC will write it's report and will present their recommendations to the Board of Education at a November school board meeting.
