George J. Elbaum a holocaust survivor from Warsaw, Poland spoke to a packed gym at AHS on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. During the assembly, Mr. Elbaum described the brutality he and his community faced during the Nazi Occupation. Weaving short readings from his book Neither Yesterdays Nor Tomorrows into his story, he held his audience in rapt attention. Mr. Elbaum’s story highlighted the triumph of the human spirit as he went on to become an aeronautical engineer after fleeing to France and finally, the United States. The presentation was both inspiring and timely in our current divisive political climate.
